TIBETAN HANDICRAFT COOPERATIVE SOCIETY, MCLEOD GANJ is a registered Cooperative society started in the year 1969 with the seed money from His Holiness the Dalai lama. Currently we have 41 working members and 19 retired members in our society. we are owned by our members who each have an equal say in how we are run. Our members are at the heart of our Co-operative society and they are the foundation of our democratic process. All the workers are the share holders of the society. They elect 5 board of Directors among them and every major and minor decision of the society are taken by the board members. To ensure that the Society’s affairs are conducted in accordance with the Rules, in the best interests of the Society and its members and in accordance with the Co-operative Values and Principles.
