Tibet Mall hosts “Himalayan Peace Nite” in solidarity with Tibet

Bangalore 24 Mar: Tibet Mall launched by FTCI commemorated the first anniversary by hosting Himalayan Peace Nite in solidarity with Tibet.

The event started with one minute silence to mourn the Tibetans who sacrificed their life  through self-immolation and  followed by Tashi Sho-pa, a traditional Tibetan auspicious dance, performed by TIPA artists and introductory and welcome address by FTCI CEO Tashi Wangdu.

Various traditional costumes including costumes from U-tsang, Kham, Amdo, Nepal, Bhutan and north-east Indian states were showcased during traditional Walk the Ram sequence.

Following the performance of solo Tibetan songs by Woeser, Tenzin Shelo and Tenzin Yulo, models walked the ram with brightly Indian outfits, Tibetan fusion chuba, man’s casual wear and western gown designed by PHURKYI-Fashion House owned by 3 young Tibetan men based at Bangalore.

5 different traditional folk music from north east states was then performed by talented singers followed by Tibet Mall Fashion round.

Tenzin Lhamo, Miss Tibet 2013 along with 4 former Miss Tibet featured in all Ram walk which fetched enough limelight for the event.

Himalayan Peace Nite which saw 8 skilled artistes during talent show, finally declared Mr Logyal and Ms Nemneihoi Dimngel as winners who drew  sketch of HH the Dalai Lama in 5 minutes and performed English song respectively.

Later lucky draw for trip to Bylakuppe, TShirt and TIPA show ticket was drawn and 10 lucky winner’s name were read out. The program finally ended with lion dance performed by TIPA artists and DJ music played by DJ Karma.

Himalayan Peace Nite organized at Tibet Mall was attended by around 2000 young vibrant crowd. During the event, self-immolation in Tibet was highlighted with vedio clips and big banners.
