Sere Jey Abbot inaugurates FTCI Bylakuppe Branch office, Godown and Lugsam Cooperative Guest House

Bylakuppe 3 Dec: On the morning around 10 am, Sera Jey Abbot, Venerable Khen Rinpoche Lobsang Delek arrived at Lugsam cooperative’s shopping complex and inaugurated the cooperative newly built guesthouse. Following the consecration by Khen Rinpoche, traditional sweet rice and tea were served.

Chithue Jigmey Jugney, Settlement Officers of Lugsam & TDL, BRDL Chairman, Administrators of monasteries, Board Members of Lugsam and TDL cooperatives, camp leaders, SOS principal, and representative of various other NGOs were present on the occasion.

Khen Rinpoche was then driven a short distance to FTCI Bylakuppe branch where consecration of FTCI Bylakuppe branch office and godown (ware house) was done. Following the consecration, function was held at FTCI Bylakuppe.

In his talk, Mr Pema Delek, Chairman of FTCI underlined the current and past status of Tibetan cooperatives. He said,  “the purpose of starting FTCI Bylakuppe branch is to start BPO and AquaTIBET besides procurement, storage and sale of maize.” He also spoke at length about member deposit, which is being done by cooperatives and FTCI in the interest of general public.

Khen Rinpoche Geshe Lobsang Delek was then requested to address the gathering. While appreciating the endeavor of cooperative and FTCI, Khen Rinpoche emphasized on importance of cooperation, unity and sincerity amongst those who are doing community service. Khen Rinpoche was then requested to present a scarf and gift to Mr Suresh and Mr Ravi as a gesture of thanks for their successful construction of FTCI Bylakuppe godown and office.
