FTCI organizes TIPA show in Bangalore

Bangalore 18 Mar:  Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts has successfully orchestrated a Traditional and Contemporary Tibetan Dance and music show at Tibetan Youth Hostel auditorium in Bangalore on 16 Mar 2013.

In his address, Mr Tashi Wangdu, FTCI CEO said, “TIPA show is the first of its kind in Bangalore. By coordinating such cultural show, we are able to help preserve and promote an important aspect of Tibetan ancient culture when Tibet nation as a whole is going through critical period of time in its history.”

As many as 300 people attended two-hour long cultural program which includes different Tibetan regional folk dances.

On the following day, a play on Self-Immolation in Tibet was staged by TIPA artistes without entry fee at the same venue.

More than 50 artistes came to Bangalore for this cultural program after a week-long performance for annual Shoten Opera Festival at Dhondenling settlement, Kollegal. FTCI has organized Bangalore’s cultural program and the entire profit made from the show was returned to TIPA.
