FTCI members met with Karnataka Government authorities

Bengaluru Nov 26:  FTCI Chairman, CEO, Chairman and CEOs of 5 Karnataka Tibetan co-operative societies had a meeting with DCs of 5 Tibetan settlement areas. The Chief Secretary of Government of Karnataka, Principal Secretaries of Home, Forestry, Food & Civil Supply, and Rural Development, Manager of DCC Bank were also present in the meeting. The Chief Secretary of Government of Karnataka chaired the meeting at Committee Hall, Vidhan Soudha, Bangalore on 26th November 2011. Several pending issues relating to issuance of RTC to Tibetan farmers, renewal of Ration Card, agriculture loan & subsidies and maintenance of internal road links in Tibetan settlements were discussed.  The Principal Secretary enquired about the status of each agenda and directed the concerned DC and Department heads to expedite the process of pending issues. He said Tibetan have been living in India and particularly in Karnataka for more than 50 years and they will get the same facilities as local Indians.
