CEO attends TDL Co-operative’s 32nd AGM

Bylakuppe Sept 19: FTCI CEO Mr. Tashi Wangdu presided over as Chairperson of the Tibetan Dickey Larose Primary Agricultural Credit Co-operative Society Ltd’s 32nd Annual General Body Meeting on 19th Sept 2011 in TDL Bylakuppe Tibetan Settlement.

Chairman of TDL Co-operative Society Mr. Tenzin Norbu welcomed the Guests and public, and Vice Chairwoman Mrs. Namgyal Dolma read out the important resolutions passed during the year. Co-operative’s Chief Accounts Officer Mrs. Tenzin Yangkyi read out the 2010-11 Account statements, which shows a net profit of Rs. 31 lakhs and CEO Mr. Chemi Dorjee sought approval on 2011-12 annual budgets from the shareholders.

Later Chairperson delivered his speech before shareholder’s questioning on the Co-operative Society’s Annual Budget and other issues. Chairperson stressed on importance of having society and a need of members’ cooperation in running its activities. He also said that the Co-operative must work for the benefit of shareholders, specially the poor and needy one through its activities.

More than 400 members attended the AGM. 3 largest purchasers from Co-operative’s fair price shop were named and awarded and 18 biggest farmers in terms of acreage were also awarded. The top farmer has cultivated 30 acres, while the top 18th cultivated 14 acres of land.

TDL Co-operative Society was registered under the Karnataka Co-operative Society registration act in 1969. At present, it has 1907 share members.  Society has 17 units employing 32 permanent staff and about 50 temporary staff.
