FTCI CEO presides over opening function of DLIHE

Bangalore 28 July:   The Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education hosted 2014-15 academic year opening session function at its campus on 28th July 2014. FTCI CEO Tashi Wangdu presided over as Chief Guest for the opening program. The college Principal Dr. B Tsering, faculties, staff and 320 students of the college were in attendance at the function.

During the function, new faculty members and staff, Men’s hostel Warden  & Women’s hostel Matron, Student Council members and merit scholars were introduced.

It was also announced during the function, the enrollment of commerce topper Ms. Tsering Dolma (who scored 93.2%) and dozens of students who scored more than 80%  in class 12 exams recently.

While delivering his address, Mr Tashi said, “This institute was set up by Ama Jetsun Pema la with a long term vision and with tremendous effort to help preserve Tibetan rich language and to provide modern education to Tibetan youth. You all (student) ought to make the best use of facility available, which was not available during our college days.”

He further underlined the student to be a good human being and enrich general knowledge while in college not just with a mere aim to get high marks in exam. He also warned the students that the time ahead for the student is very challenging and competitive.

DLIHE, which is affiliated to Mysore University, provides BA, BCOM and BCA along with Tibetan and Chinese language courses.
