FTCI to launch first-of-its kind online shop:

FTCI is launching, an online shop to purchase Tibetan handicrafts and artifacts on 25 Oct 2013 morning 10 am at Hotel Tibet Dharamsala by Hon’ble Home Minister Gyari Dolma of Central Tibetan AdminIstration and Special Guest Mr. Siva Reddy, Managing Director of GOCOOP- organization promoting cooperatives globally. As many as 200 different products will be available online right now and soon we will upload more products, which are broadly classified under 9 different categories namely Dharma, Handicrafts, Furniture, Clothing, Books, DVDs, Herbals and others.  The online purchase can be made from 15 countries including United States, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Australia and China. TIBETeSHOP will be tied up with India Post and other reputed courier/cargo service providers for timely shipment of products. There will be free shipping for all E-Commerce products across India for order above Rs. 2000.

TIBETeSHOP accepts debit card and credit card as well as netbanking for payment options. TIBETeSHOP assures secure online payment as TIBETeSHOP is integrated with both PayPal (International) and EBS (India) for payment gateway.

FTCI is a member of Fair Trade India Forum. FTCI manufactures all its products in compliance with Fair Trade Principles. One of the main objectives of FTCI is to promote and market Tibetan handicrafts. FTCI has 15 member Tibetan cooperatives with more then 24,000 share members all over India.

In the view of growing importance of pursuance of professional courses among younger generation of Tibetan youth and His Holiness The Dalai Lama’s frequent call for the need of Tibetan professionals for building strong and sustainable Tibetan community and for future Tibet, Federation of Tibetan Co-operatives in India Ltd. (FTCI), invites an application for Nyamdel Scholarship for the Tibetan students who are the children of share holders of member co-operative societies of FTCI.

Nyamdel Scholarship shall be given to 10 students who have completed XII Std this year and joining undergraduate professional courses.


  1. Attested copy of XII Board exam marks card.
  2. Attested copy of applicant’s Green Book first and last.
  3. Attested copy of share certificate of Co-operative society.


  • All the documents submitted for Nyamdel Scholarship must be attested by a Chairman or Secretary of the Tibetan Co-operative society.
  • Each student will get a scholarship of Rs.10,000
  • Student must secure a minimum of 50% in XII result.
  • Selection will be based on lucky draw on Inaugural Function of the 15 Tibetan Co-operative Societies Annual Conference to be held on 20 August 2013.

FTCI to confer the most successful Tibetan Business man a “Tibetan Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2013” during the inauguration of the Tibetan Co-operative Societies Annual Conference to be held on 20 August 2013 in Lugsam Tibetan Settlement, Bylakuppe.

This award is to honor and recognize the successful Tibetan Entrepreneurs in Exile.
