Co-operative Movement in Tibetan Community in Exile: Book launch

FTCI will launch an extensive book called “Co-operative Movement in Tibetan Community in Exile” on 11 Aug, 2011 in Dharamsala. Since the time of seeking asylum in India, most of the Tibetans have lived in different settlements. Co-operative Societies were subsequently formed and registered under their respective State Co-operative societies Acts and Rules with the sole aim of attaining sustainability and development of the Tibetan community.

The book narrates about Tibetan co-operative’s formation, operation of its business activities and provides a bird eye view of the settlement.  It also presents the acreage, volume and prevailing prices of different crops, credit served for different crops under 3 components, position of capital employed and total assets of last few years of the co-operative society.
